Bowen Foreshore Redevelopment

VDM Consulting were engaged by what has become the Whitsunday Regional Council to provide the Civil Engineering services for the Bowen Foreshore Redevelopment.
The works will be undertaken in three phases over the next 5 years to deliver a State Resource to the Bowen Township. VDM Consulting in conjunction with Tract Consultants have prepared a Concept Masterplan for the foreshore district which incorporates a number of important existing and historical facilities.
The foreshore redevelopment will build on these opportunities and incorporate community facilities including a sound shell for concerts & festivals, interpretive centres for the Catalina Hardstand and Historically significant events in Bowen, along with Community facilities such as picnic shelters, skate park, BBQ facilities and beach huts to access the foreshore.
Rounding out the project will be a road link to the existing township and the complete upgrading of Santa Barbra Parade along the full length of the foreshore. These works will not only provide road access but a real streetscape to complement the foreshore works and ample parking to ensure all the facilities can be conveniently accessed by the entire community and visitors alike.
