VDM Consulting was commissioned by the Queensland Department of Main Roads to investigate an alignment for the Southern Infrastructure Corridor which is a new road link from the south western suburbs of Brisbane to the existing M1 motorway and a future road proposed to the east of Brisbane.
This preliminary study involved a review of previous studies including examination of alternative alignments, investigations into alternative Interchange options at M1, environmental and topographic constraints, identification and design of the preferred alignment option and Connectivity to the M1. The study also provided “white book drawings” of detailed concept design plans for all options considered in the study.
